Sarwar appoints ‘Campaign Cabinet’

Newly elected Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar has unveiled a ‘Campaign Cabinet’ to lead Scottish Labour into the forthcoming election, including both sitting MSPs and candidates standing in the upcoming election.

His leadership election opponent Monica Lennon is appointed to the key Economy and Fair Work role, while deputy leader Jackie Baillie takes on the critical Health and Social Care brief, and Daniel Johnson is promoted to Finance. Shadow Scottish Secretary Ian Murray will also attend.

Candidates Michael Marra and Pam Duncan-Glancy, neither of whom are currently sitting MSPs, have been appointed to the Education and Social Security roles respectively. A further seven candidates have been appointed to spokesperson roles.
