The Herald reports that Scottish campaigners are to deliver a petition to Downing Street today, calling for the NHS to be protected from the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
Scottish Labour Leader Kezia Dugdale said:
“The NHS is one of Labour’s proudest achievements, and we will always do everything in our power to protect it. We cannot allow a situation where our public healthcare is fair game for private healthcare companies. The TTIP deal is a real test of David Cameron’s commitment to our NHS.
Today NHS staff and people right across the country are sending a very clear signal to David Cameron that he should protect our NHS.”
