Scottish Fabians announce conference events

Democratic think-tank Scottish Fabians has announced its events programme for Scottish Labour Conference, which takes place in Perth from 30 October to 1 November.

On Saturday 31 October, they are holding an informal ‘Beermat Strategy’ event with Ian Murray MP. This is an open discussion on the topic of ‘The Role of Narrative in Politics’. It will take place at The Salutation Hotel at 9pm on Saturday 31 October.

The Fabians’ second event, on “Members’ Day” Sunday 1 November, is the first in a series of seminars on education. ‘The Future of Scotland’s Schools’ will have a panel of speakers including Iain Gray MSP, Scottish Labour’s Spokesperson for Opportunity. This event will also take place at The Salutation Hotel, at noon on Sunday 1 November.

We understand that Scottish Fabians will also be launching a pamphlet at conference looking at culture policy in the run up to the 2016 election.
